Arlan grabbed a seat and asked. "What happened while I was away?"

Winter put her cup of coffee on the table and replied in a cold voice. "The three NPA leaders you captured were killed."

Arlan's face fell when he heard this. "They died?"

Winter nodded her head expressionlessly. "They were killed inside their cells. All evidence was destroyed so no one knew who the culprit was."

Arlan leaned on his chair and asked with a smile. "But you know who did it right?"

"It's the former police chief of Taguig City Police Station, Donnyl Lisondra. He sent two people who were disguised as police officers. They drugged the food of the officers on duty which made them fall asleep. After the officers lost consciousness, the two shot the three leaders of the NPA and left the scene after destroying the CCTV footage. I managed to retrieve the deleted footage so I know what happened. That's also how I traced it back to Donnyl Lisondra." Winter replied.

"And the person who ordered this should be the president, right?" Arlan was surprised that Donnyl was still not captured.

"Correct." Winter nodded as she sat on the seat opposite him.

"No wonder the commanding general was in a terrible mood. It must be related to this." Arlan mumbled to himself. He then raised his head and asked. "By the way, I haven't seen Khalon. Where is he?"

"I sent him out to capture Donnyl. You need that guy if you want to bring down the president." Winter stared at him calmly.

Arlan wasn't angry that Winter did things without asking his permission. If all things had to go through him, that would exhaust him to death. "Will Khalon be fine?" He was more worried about Khalon's safety. After he found out that they were not completely immune to bullets, he became more concerned about their safety.

Winter shook her head as she replied. "You don't have to worry about him. Five soldiers from the Oorlewende Unit followed him for this mission."

Hearing this, Arlan's face eased up. He had already seen what the Oorlwende Unit was capable of. Those guys managed to destroy a rebel stronghold that has more than 800 soldiers and there were only twenty of them at that time. "That's good. If we give Donnyl Lisondra to the commanding general, he might be able to bring down the president."

"No! You have to do it yourself. Lieutenant General Rivera can't defeat the Maracas Family on his own. If I'm not wrong, he has already called you." Winter said before taking a small sip of coffee.

Arlan stared at her in shock, but he soon smiled. "That's right. He will come here tomorrow."

"Then you have to tell him that the president must be eliminated. The Maracas Family has a private army and President Maracas can mobilize them any time. Those people only follow his orders so if he is dead, no one can command them anymore." Winter's cold gaze unnerved him.

Arlan looked away from her and closed his eyes. 'If the president is eliminated, the entire world would certainly be aware of it. There is a high chance that allied countries will come to investigate the matter.' Numerous thoughts flashed in his mind. He didn't even notice that he could already think faster than before. This was one of the effects of the Gene Evolution Liquid. It sharpened his mind considerably.

Arlan opened his eyes and stared at Winter. "Alright. I'll do as you say. It's better to remove him as early as possible. It would be difficult to eliminate him once the zombie virus spreads. Just keep me updated about Khalon's mission."

Winter nodded her head.

"What about Karl and Conrad? What happened to their mission in Tokyo?"

"They have already sent a warning to Hyundai according to your instructions. Hyundai seemed to be worried that this matter might blow up so they quickly stopped their investigations... Karl and Conrad should be here by tomorrow."

"That's good." Arlan was relieved to hear that. He wasn't used to the long absence of Karl. He had already grown closer to him and he treated Karl like a brother.

Arlan left Winter's office after that.

The commanding general visited him at the scheduled time.

Lieutenant General Rivera only brought two people with him since he wanted to keep this matter a secret. He noticed that his actions have been monitored lately so he was wary of the people around him.

"Good morning, General!" Arlan warmly greeted the commanding general at the entrance of the mansion.

Lieutenant General Rivera forced out a smile as he extended his hand. "I'm glad to see you again, Mr. Roa."

"Likewise." Arlan grinned. "Let's get inside first. I'll bring you to my study. We can chat there."

Arlan brought the commanding general to his study room. Winter and Krizia were already there.

Lieutenant General Rivera stared at the two ladies and then at Arlan. "Being young is good, but you should not overdo it." He joked.

Arlan merely smiled at his words. "Please take a seat, General."

"Thank you." The commanding General didn't stand on ceremony.

"So what do you want to talk about?" Arlan asked while interlocking his fingers on the table.

The commanding general's face suddenly turned serious. "Mr. Roa, please help me." He muttered while looking straight at Arlan. He didn't want to ask for this guy's help, but he was the only person who could help him at this moment.

While they were talking, Krizia poured tea for them.

"Alright." Arlan answered before he nonchalantly took a sip of tea.

"Hm? You agree?" The commanding general was already expecting his refusal. He had even strategized last night on how he would convince Arlan to help him.

"Why? Does that sound shocking to you, General? I already told you before that I'm willing to help you." Arlan chuckled as he put down his tea cup.

The commanding general cleared his throat. "Mr. Roa, I thank you on behalf of the people-"

Arlan cut him off and said with a smile. "Let's cut the nonsense, General. What do you want me to do?"
