Chapter 485

Elise thought Kayson was just comforting her. She said, “Kace, thank you very much. I'm already old. You

shouldn't waste your ton me. It's useless.”

Kayson was about to say something when a loud voice erupted from outside

“Is my cousin back?”

Violet's cousin cinto the living room with a pretty woman beside him. Violet frowned and said, “Cousin.”

Violet's cousin was Jaden Quirk. He was a businessman in the town, but they were not on good terms with each

other.

“You've come, Jaden,” Elise said, her voice gentle.

“Grandma, | know how to cure your illness. | cacross a famous doctor stago, and | heard he’s very

good at medicine.”

Elise smiled and said, “Alright, alright. Hurry up and take your seat. I'm very happy that all of you cback to

visittoday.” Jaden then sat down with the woman as he kept his gaze glued to Talia. “I didn’t expect you to

be here as well, Ms. Hall. It has only been a while, and it seems tothat you've gotten even prettier.” Talia

rolled her eyes and said, “It's none of your business.” Jaden chuckled and said, “Violet, is this your boyfriend?”

He studied Kayson from head to toe, and judging from his attire, he was confident that Kayson was a poor man.

‘Did he get his clothes from the market? And they look as if he has been wearing them for a long time.

Then, he said sarcastically, “My third uncle owns a big company. You've got to find someone that can match your

status, Violet. If not, you'll only bring disgrace to your father as well as our family!”

“I don’t need to look at those when I'm looking for a boyfriend. Besides, Kayson is more outstanding than most

people.” Violet fought back begrudgingly. Jaden chuckled and asked, “Really? May | ask where you work, sir?

Since you can catch my cousin's eyes, I'm sure you must be a graduate of a prestigious university or a senior

manager of a foreign company, right?” Kayson replied faintly, “I'm just a project team leader of a construction

company.” Jaden nearly let out a laugh as he continued. “A project team leader? How much do you earn per

inonth? $3,000?”

Kayson thought for a moment and said, “My company pays$15,000 per month.” “Haliahaha!” Jaden couldn't

hold himself back anymore and let out a boisterous laugh.”

Cousin, where did you find this stupid fella? How is it possible for a company to pay $15,000 to a project team

leader per month?” Violet felt embarrassed. Her family owned a company, so it went without saying that she

knew how ridiculous it was.

If he was paid $15,000 per month, it meant his yearly salary was $180,000. This was the salary for a senior

manager. There was no way a company would pay so much to a mere project team leader. Talia snarled, “It has

nothing to do with you. Kayson is here to cure Grandma's illness. If you don’t have anything else to do, then get

the hell out of here or keep your mouth shut.” “Cure Grandma's illness?” Jaden was stunned. Then, his eyes

widened in shock as he said, “Violet, don’t tellthat you want him to cure our grandma?”

Violet replied in annoyance, “Do you have a problem with that? Since you can find a doctor for Grandma, so can

I! 1 want Grandma to get well soon as well!” Jaden’s face sank. “Look at him yourself. Does he look like a doctor?

Does he have a certificate? Did he graduate from a university?

“Violet, | can’t believe that you would find a fake doctor like him to help Grandma. Do you want to get Grandma

killed? She adores you so much, so how can you do this to her!?” Talia couldn't hold herself back anymore and

snarled, “You'd better shut up if you know nothing. Kayson is the best doctor around here. No doctor could do

anything when my aunt was sick, yet Kayson cured her!” Upon hearing what she said, Jaden snorted. “Please

don’t makelaugh. You're talking as if an elementary school student can solve an advanced math problem.

This is just pure nonsense.”
