You have been affected by an Elementalist ability: Soothing Water

----

Legolas felt a soothing feeling flow through his body as the beautiful female water Elementalist worked on his shoulder that was dislocated during the escape.

By conjuring water and focusing it on his shoulder, the water became a blue healing water that did not just heal him but also sooth his tense nerves.

Thudding sounds still reverberated all around this hideout.

Till now, the Titans were still out in the desert in search of them.

Legolas was not the only one that was being healed as the water Elementalists healed the others also, giving focus to those with severe injuries.

There was total silence in this hideout dug underneath the sand as the warriors not only worried about the Titans but the truth which they just learned.

They were still in the process of mourning their comrades who died in action when they asked Captain Aegon and he had no choice but to tell them the truth.

Though Captain Aegon didn't want to admit it, he felt that he was obligated to tell them the truth about how Ackermann and Arya were injured.

When they learned the truth that Din betrayed them and killed 2 of their comrades, they were confused at first.

Truly, all the 8 major tribes were fierce rivals but, in this mission, their tribe heads vehemently told them to let go of their differences and focus on the mission.

This was a mission that involved the survival of them all.

The most baffling fact was that one of the warriors that Din killed was also from the Drago Celeste tribe which left them even more confused.

Captain Aegon didn't hold back though, he told them everything, including Din's reason for deciding to betray his comrades.

So, there they all sat with different thoughts going through their heads.

Legolas relaxed as he recovered his energy. Like the others, he also had strong feelings about the betrayal. Not because he knew Din, but because Captain Aegon already told him the potentials of a champion who mastered the release.

Din's Dragon was still just an infant though it had Grade D strength, and with this, Din was guaranteed to become a Grade C warrior in the future.

He and Kamnak had the potential to be as strong as tribe chief Kohama.

Due to the power limits of this planet, the bulk of superhuman warriors were Grade F superhumans while extremely talented warriors had a high chance of becoming Grade D powerhouses.

But to became a Grade C powerhouse entailed much more, not only talent, but hard work, and incredible luck was required.

Grade C was the pinnacle of strength in Planet Darvis, if every character was a Grade C warrior, then Legolas and his fellow game developers would have done a terrible job in the game structuring.

What worried Legolas was combining Din's incredible talent and luck with the Clown's craziness, it was a dangerous combination.

In his previous life, the Clown Society had only 3 Grade C superhumans but these 3 were enough to take this planet by storm.

In his previous life, all the desert tribes died to the Titans but due to his intervention now, he saved them and in return caused a change in the history that he knew. The Clown Society potentially had a 4th Grade C superhuman already.

Legolas did not regret his actions though. 'There's no use regretting, I just have to learn from my mistakes and make the best use of my time'.

Despite the many ups and downs, in essence, he achieved his mission. He was able to gain Altan's confidence and increase his reverence for the Hermit.

Despite being a Grade D superhuman like him, Legolas's incredible performance back in the Ancient city left a deep impression on Altan.

'Only the Hermit would have made this possible'. He thought.

'Perhaps, if I serve him more faithfully, I may become this powerful'.

Thoughts of deserting his ancestral Tree God already started taking root in his heart, this was exactly what Legolas aimed to achieve.

He already started seeing the Hermit as a real god.

Legolas turned to face Christensen. "Can Brutus hold on?"

"Yes, for the next 3 hours I think but he'll have to refill his energy".

Legolas turned to face Captain Aegon who replied. "I still have 4 mana-recovery pills with me".

"Good". Legolas was relieved.

So, there they sat, in the hideout, waiting the storm out.

A few hours later, the sun finally set, welcoming the embrace of the night. This was when the commotion of the marching Titans finally stopped.

Brutus went out to confirm, then they finally came out of their hideout.

Without any rest, they rushed straight to the nearby Drago Celeste territory.

They slept for the night there as the Drago Celeste tribe territory still stood despite the Freljord tribe already evacuating completely.

The next day, they left for the Kong territory.

The tribal chief of the Kong tribe sat on his Gorilla-themed throne.

With black eyes as deep as the abyss itself and brown beards falling down his chest, his round bald head glowed despite the dim lighting inside his chambers as Captain Aegon knelt before him giving the report.

"My son died?"

"Yes, my lord".

"Drog died?"

"Yes, my lord".

"Did Draconion know already?"

"Yes, my lord, I informed him on our way here".

Tribal Chief Kohama stood up from his chieftain throne and turned his back to Aegon as he sighed, he spoke after a few seconds of silence. "Knock was always stubborn".

"I tried my best to teach him prudence but he refused to listen".

"He was always the hot-blooded one, he and his friend, Drog".

"Rival?" Captain Aegon corrected with his head still bowed.

The tribal chief turned to look at him with a smile on his face. "You think they were rivals? I don't think so".

"They knew each other from a tender age, they knew they would become the next tribal chiefs, so they were eager to outdo the other".

"Hot-blooded, they challenged each other all their childhood till they became men. Despite becoming men, they never grew up and still challenged each other".

"They were so foolish". He laughed. "They were foolish enough to also think they were rivals; their bond is greater than any 2 friends can have".

"I know that they loved each other more than best friends but they never admitted it".

"All their lives, they pushed each other to become better versions of themselves and better future tribal chiefs".

He sighed. "They never got to become tribal chiefs though".

"Life is so random sometimes I think it's stupid".

"I'm sorry for your loss, tribal chief".

Kohama looked at the young man again and smiled. "I miss being young Aegon". Then he gestured at a chair. "Sit, tell me what happened".

"Yes, tribal chief".

As soon as he sat down, Captain Aegon did not mince words as he told everything about what transpired in the mission.

"Din awakened the release and betrayed us…" Kohama sighed and stood up. "The younger generation are so much different from my generation".

"That does not matter though, what matters is that we found the truth behind the Titans, call the stranger warrior in".

"Yes, tribe head".

Legolas sat alongside the other survivors of this mission who he fought side by side with as they ate bread and wine to sate their appetite.

Despite dining with them, his mind was somewhere else.

After the close encounter with the Titans, Legolas knew that it was time that he made his move. After they ruffled their feathers, the Black Master would definitely be more unbridled as he would send more Titans out to wreak havoc.

'I need to rescue Blade as soon as possible'.

'I need to drag him into my team but it has to be natural like Christensen's".

This was what Legolas had a problem with, not every warrior was a spoilt brat like Christensen who was naïve enough to be easily deceived with words.

Legolas also thought of the players' return. Due to his meddling, history already began changing but the version's focus was still more or less the same.

After the beta testing, the players had to wait for 2 weeks in the real world which in game was 70 days. It was already more than 2 months since the beta testing ended, version 1 would soon begin officially.

Before that happened, Legolas wanted to be ready.

The next moment, all attention in the dining hall was attracted towards the door as Captain Aegon pushed it open and came in.

"Legolas, the tribe chief asks for you".

"Ok".

Without a word, Legolas followed him.

On arriving before the tribe chief of the Kong tribe, Legolas knelt down and paid his respects.

"Stand up stranger from beyond the desert".

Legolas smiled. "It is nice to meet you, tribe chief".

Kohama also smiled. "I heard of what you did to help my warriors, on behalf of all 8 tribes, I thank you Legolas".

Legolas simply smiled without replying.

"As someone who helped our tribes, we are obligated to reward you for your efforts, what do you want as a reward?"

Legolas's smile widened, he was expecting this and he had no intentions to be too polite. "I did it because Altan asked for my help".

"But if you insist on rewarding me, a good sword to assist me would do".

"Done".

"So, what will you do after leaving here?"

"I hear that you intend to send more warrior squads to go reinforce the small tribes all across the desert that are already suffering the rampage of the Titans".

"If it pleases you, I want to be part of these warrior squads".

Kohama was visibly surprised. "You want to voluntarily help us?"

"Yes, tribe chief".

Kohama smiled. "If only there are more souls like you in the world".

"Thank you for your help Legolas, Aegon will take you to choose your sword".

"Thank you too, tribe chief".
