Chapter 960 You’re Pregnant, Whitney

Whitney was walking aimlessly when suddenly, an umbrella was held above her head. Her heart skipped a beat as

she looked up, only to see that it was Aaron.

After she concealed the disappointment in her eyes, she faintly smiled before asking, "Why are you here?"

"Why did you come out just like that? The rain is so heavy. You should've given me a call and asked me to pick you

up," Aaron said, feeling bad for her when he saw that she was completely drenched.

When she heard that, her wandering mind gradually regained clarity. She looked up, and her gaze fell upon the face

that bore some resemblance to her own.

A few seconds later, she lowered her head, not wanting him to see how disheveled she looked. "The rain came out

of nowhere, and I wasn't prepared. I just wanted to get back home quickly, so I came out without anything."

A faint smile tugged on her lips. After some thought, she continued, "I'm fine. I'll just go home and shower. It's not a

big deal."

Just as she said that, Aaron grabbed her arm. He had grown into a tall gentleman, no longer the little boy who had

to rely on his sister.

"Is it true that you embezzled company funds?" Amidst the sound of the rain, his voice sounded low and serious.

Hearing that, she looked up at him and smiled. "You don't need to worry about me. Just focus on your studies and

exams. Don't worry. I've earned quite a bit of money these past few years, and it's all in your account. It should be

enough for you to finish your education."

"Whitney." When he heard that she tried to change the subject, his tone became more serious. His dark, bright eyes

reflected her image, and his grip on her arm began to tighten. "Why did you do that? That's a large sum of money.

Do you want to stay in prison until you die?"

Whitney knew that Aaron was just concerned about her, but she couldn't do anything now. She owed too much to

Douglas and had no way to repay him. The only thing she could do was turn herself in so that Douglas could vent

his anger.

"Don't worry, Aaron. I know what I'm doing. The Campbell Family has already fallen. I may not be able to take care

of you anymore. You have to learn to be independent." She spoke with a heavy heart.

At that moment, Aaron fell silent. In the end, he didn't say much else. He held the umbrella and accompanied

Whitney back home.

It was dark, hot, and stuffy. A wave of heat suddenly emanated from her body, and she felt weak all over. Her head

was throbbing, and her nose was clogged. She struggled to open her eyes, but her eyelids felt like something was

pressing down on them. Her throat was sore as if it had been cut, and she was incredibly thirsty.

Gradually, her consciousness dissipated, and she drifted off into an unconscious state.

When Whitney woke up again, all she could see was white. The air was filled with the smell of disinfectant, which

was slightly unpleasant. She furrowed her brow and tried to sit up but found herself weak and unable to move.

"You're finally awake," Aaron said, helping her to sit up.

"Am I running a fever?" She held her forehead and groaned in discomfort.

"Yes." When he handed her a glass of warm water, his expression was somewhat hesitant, as if he had something

to say.

As she took the water, she drank it all in one gulp as she was too thirsty.

After finishing the water, she looked up at him and smiled, saying, "I'm fine. You don't have to worry. I probably

caught the fever from getting caught in the rain. I'll be better once I get an IV drip." She smiled warmly after saying

that.

However, Aaron tightened his grip on his hand and took a deep breath before finally speaking. "You're pregnant,

Whitney. Do you know that?"
