Winnie had seen one of them before. That girl was likely a senior member of Nate’s fan club as most of

the other fans seemed to be following her lead.

As such, Winnie was prepared to take a detour to avoid them.

It was not because she was afraid of them, but because she did not want to make a scene in public.

Moreover, she didn’t want to frighten her grandma.

However, it was too late as those fans had already spotted her.

The girl who was the leader of the group gestured for the others to chase after Winnie.

When Jacinta saw that, she realized that something was amiss.

“Winnie, are those people coming after us? Are they Nate’s fans? They must have believed the fake

news. Were they also the ones who slandered you previously?”

Winnie nodded and replied, “Yup. I’ve seen one of them before.”

Jacinta sighed. “If that’s the case, we should leave this place right away. Let’s try to avoid getting into a

conflict with them. It’s all my fault. I should have just listened to you and gone to a more high-end

restaurant. That way, we could have avoided these fans.”

“Granny, please don’t say that. This has nothing to do with you. It’s not too late for us to go to another

restaurant now.”

“All right. Let’s walk faster then,” Jacinta replied before grabbing Winnie’s arm and starting to walk

faster.

Winnie linked arms with her grandmother and said in a reassuring manner, “Sure, but there’s no need

to walk that fast. I have my bodyguards with me today.”

Once the woman finished speaking, Mason, who was dressed in a full black suit, stepped forward and

blocked the fans’ path.

As a highly skilled bodyguard, he was agile and fast, so it posed no difficulty for him to block them all

on his own.

After being blocked, the fans were unable to advance. As such, they could only start throwing things at

Nate.

you have something to say. If it’s still about apologizing to me, there’s really no need for that. However,

you should really do something about your fans.”

“It’s not about that.” There was a sense of urgency in Nate’s voice. “I just wanted to ask if you’re

currently on the third floor of Fiesta Mall?”

“Are you here as well?” Winnie immediately came to such a conclusion and looked toward the upper

floors.

Indeed, she spotted a man on the fourth floor who was wearing a cap and mask and had most of his

face covered.

She recognized that person to be Nate at once.

However, she only took one glance at the man before retracting her gaze and continuing to walk

forward.

“Since you’ve already seen what happened earlier, please do something about your fans. As their idol,

they would listen to anything you say. You have the responsibility to educate them properly.” The

woman spoke into the phone in a frosty tone.

“I know that,” Nate replied immediately before continuing, “I will definitely take responsibility for what

they have done.”

“All right. I’m hanging up. Don’t call me again if there’s nothing important.”

Winnie hung up straight away after saying that.

However, Nate, who was on a higher floor, had a wider view of what was going on on the third floor and

could see things Winnie couldn’t.

If he was not mistaken, someone was currently tailing the woman!

He wanted to tell her what he had noticed, but Winnie had already hung up before he could do so.

Therefore, he immediately dialed her number again.

Nate was rather worried that Winnie had already blocked his number and would not pick up his call, but

his worries were unfounded.

He was extremely relieved when the woman picked up just after a few rings, although she sounded

slightly impatient.

“Nate, What else do you want?”

“Thank goodness you answered,” the man mumbled subconsciously.

Sounding even more annoyed, Winnie spoke again. “Huh? What are you saying? What exactly do you

want?”

“From where I am, I can see someone tailing you, but I could not tell what their gender is. I’m also not

sure if they are one of my fans. Anyway, you have to be careful. I don’t think you should take the

escalator. I’m worried that they might attack you from behind.”

Judging by his anxious tone, Winnie knew that Nate was not joking. She immediately turned around

and scrutinized her surroundings.

While scanning the crowd, she asked, “What is the person wearing?”

wearing a cap and dressed in a white t-shirt and blue jeans. They are of average height and don’t have

of the eight, two were wearing caps, and three were wearing bucket hats.

However, Nate had already said that the person was nowhere to be seen, so they must’ve gone into

hiding.

As it was difficult to guard against an enemy hiding in the dark, Winne could not help but worry that the

person would suddenly appear and push them down the escalator.

She did not want to put Jacinta at risk, hence, she decided to listen to Nate and take the elevator

instead, although they were only on the third floor.

At the same time, Nate had also started sprinting down from the fourth floor. He wanted to be by

Winnie’s side. That way, even if something happened, he could be there to help.

However, no one would have thought that the mysterious person would be hiding at a place where

Winnie and Jacinta would pass by on their way to the elevator. It was a stroke of luck on their part.

Winnie was only concerned with making sure that no one was following her and did not pay any

attention to what was in front.

Just as she was turning around the corner, a person who was wearing a cap charged at her with a

knife.

When Winnie realized that danger was imminent, she pushed Jacinta aside at once before preparing to

defend herself.

In spite of that, Winnie was confident that she could avoid being stabbed, but due to the angle she was

at, she was prepared to suffer some minor scrapes.

She could tolerate the pain as long as it was not fatal.

However, at that instant, someone dashed out and threw himself in front of Winnie. The next moment,

the knife was thrust into the person’s body.
