Beatrice had the mad urge to beat Yasmine into a pulp, and she clenched her fists to hold herself back from running at her and tearing her wings apart.

She knew it very well that the winged woman in front of her was much stronger than she was.

Taking deep breaths, she calmed down, before averting her attention towards Kyle, hoping that he would say something to support her. However, she saw that he was trying hard to not laugh out loud.

This caused the already fuming Vampire to grow furious as she used the flat of her hand to smack him on the shoulder.

However, no sooner had she done this, a bolt of pain shot up her entire arm that felt like it was being ripped apart from her shoulder.

A lone tear trickled her cheek as Beatrice gritted her teeth, using her other hand to hold the arm that felt like it was burning both on the inside and outside.

When Kyle noticed this, he stopped laughing at once, and quickly approached her, using his entire stored Soul force to empower the Nurture ability.

It was an involuntary act and something he did naturally.

He focussed on invigorating Beatrice, without a second thought and ignored that Yasmine was able to see what was happening.

A few seconds after Kyle reacted, the pain in Beatrice's arm subsided as she looked at him with a sulky expression.

"See what you did to me?"

Seeing the pitiful gaze of Beatrice, he was not even sure what he should say.

Kyle was speechless, and he could only stare at her for playing the victim.

'She is not serious with that, right? It's not like I hit her…'

He knew that their blood pact had caused the pain in Beatrice's arm, but that originated from the fact that she had attempted to seriously hurt him.

As such, Kyle was not sure if he should feel guilty because he wasn't at fault…or maybe he was?

In the end, he had no idea what Beatrice had been thinking about, or why she had hit him, but that didn't mean she should feel unbearable pain just because she had hit him lightly.

Thus, he felt a little bit bad, but that was all he could do as there was no way for him to configure the blood pact, even if he wanted to.

After all, Kyle was not even sure how they made the blood pact, to begin with.

Beatrice had simply sunk her fangs into his neck to suck his blood, and then somehow they were in a blood pact.

To add to the confusion, even she was not sure that this would happen because she had been taught differently.

With that being said, their blood pact might as well be something different, and they were just oblivious to the truth.

However, that was not something they had to be concerned about. Kyle knew that Beatrice wouldn't hurt him to the extent that he would die, to begin with!

That was also why he had reacted instinctively, helping her when the backlash of the blood pact caused severe pain to Beatrice.

Yasmine had been silently watching all of this, and her confusion was clearly visible on her face. When Kyle's eyes fell on her, he couldn't help but give her a hesitant smile, unsure of what to say.

"Ehm…well, do you have to know what happened just now?"

Nodding her head vigorously, Yasmine wanted to understand what had just happened, even if Beatrice was staring at her in contempt which looked rather ridiculous in her pitiful state.

As such, she averted her attention to Kyle, who sighed deeply, trying to avoid her gaze that was filled with curiosity.

"Well, if you want me to provide help, wouldn't it make sense for you to give me something in return? I won't force you, but give and take is what would profit both of us, right?"

Keeping his attention on Yasmine, he tried to understand her motives but was unsure what exactly this woman wanted from him and Beatrice.

Both him and Beatrice were not really interested in his opinion, but somehow the fiery red winged woman in front of them seemed to think differently.

As a matter of fact, Kyle was probably equally interested in getting to know what kind of a demi-human Yasmine was because she seemed to be special.

That was also what the hues enveloping her indicated because they were mostly on par with Beatrice's, if not stronger. Though Yasmine was an interesting demi-human, she was something he didn't expect to encounter in the first city they had entered.

In the end, this meant that Yasmine was some sort of a mysterious, and also dangerous being. She might bring many issues, but at the same time, having her by their side might be helpful.

This was why he hadn't said anything when she wanted to join them, while the reason he laughed had been Beatrice, her behavior and expressions when Yasmine spoke about the threesome.

It was evidently a joke, and even if Beatrice was old and sometimes driven by her desires, she was but a rookie whether it was common sense, irony, or much more.

With that in mind, Kyle decided to answer the doubts of Yasmine, while simultaneously hoping that she would help them out more than she had offered.

"To put it simple, we have some sort of a bond. I provide her with my blood and she cannot injure me. I barely felt anything, and Beatrice…well you saw it."

It was far more complex than Kyle had summed it up in vague words, but he got the message sent across successfully.

As such it was not difficult for Yasmine to understand what was going on, and while nodding her head, she let the topic rest for now.

"Okay, then let's go to my family's store. If I'm not wrong, I saw a Pegasi this morning. Maybe, we'll be able to fly in a chariot!"

Saying so she swiftly turned around and left the guildhall, not bothering to look back if Kyle and Beatrice were following her.

Her decision was set in stone that she would follow them to the city's border while keeping her attention on the things she was interested in.

This was something her mother had told her to do, and she would stick to her advice…especially when two interesting adventures such as Kyle and Beatrice were in front of her eyes.

Quickly hurrying after Yasmine, they fell in steps beside her though they had no idea where she was taking them.

Though they didn't really have a choice.

They were in an unknown city and she was their best and only chance at solving their issues.

Yasmine could be considered as their shortcut, guide, and support in the Anadra kingdom which was something they needed.

With her by their side, it might even be possible to find an easier way to enter the Lahin kingdom.

The only issue Kyle had in mind was the question about what Yasmine wanted to do, once he and Beatrice were to enter the Lahin kingdom.

Was she planning to follow them even then, or did she plan something else? Was she even planning anything, to begin with?

Too many questions flashed through his mind, and it was mainly because of this factor that Kyle was distracted enough to not see where they were heading.

Only when he saw masses of hues around him did he regain his senses.

Looking around, he noticed that they were in the middle of a huge expanse of land that looked eerily similar to the ranches Kyle recalled from his past life.

By turning his head in every possible direction, he was able to see all kinds of placid beasts walking around, minding their own business and ignoring their existence.

At this moment, the wind slapped in his face, disheveling his hair, while exactly the same happened to Beatrice, Yasmine, and an old man, who had emerged out of nowhere.

Kyle hadn't seen or heard him before, but right now he was standing right next to Yasmine, talking to her in a polite manner.

From the looks of it, the man was trying to prevent her from doing something.

But, she was in no mood to pay attention to him and instead stared straight ahead the moment she felt the light gust of wind brush past her face.

A bright smile emerged on her face, while the old man could only frown deeply upon seeing her reaction.

Meanwhile, Kyle deflected the gust of wind that dashed towards him, preventing the wind from obstructing his sight.

Dry eyes and a strong wind flow around them was a bad combination and not something he could recommend after all.

A moment later, his entire body began to tingle, and Arashi manifested from his chest.

He jumped on his hand before quickly turning around to face Kyle, and then the Spirit Soul jumped on top of his head.

Afterward, Arashi looked upwards, while Kyle followed suit, curious to know what everyone else was seeing.

Yet, what he witnessed a moment later caused him to smile brightly, even though he was not sure why this was the case.

In the end it was just a natural reaction to the beauty he saw in front of him like an emerald furred horse with faint black stripes descended to the ground.

It was flapping its wings that had a wingspan of more than a dozen meters.

It led to the creation of strong wind currents that emerged all around it as if the wings were naturally using the wind affinity which astonished Kyle, and the Spirit Soul.

Both he and Arashi were stupefied at how easily the winged horse was able to control the wind affinity, whose seed it possessed.

Whether it was control, utilization, circulating, or mana consumption, everything was balanced perfectly, allowing the horse to make every move it wanted to with ease.

As such, its descent looked majestic, causing everyone except the old man and Yasmine to be stunned by its magnificent appearance.

Landing in front of Yasmine, it neighed several times, revealing its joy.

The faint wind currents enveloped the winged woman, pulling her towards the horse that rubbed itss head at her affectionately.

This clearly showed how close she was to the winged horse, and Kyle could only subtle hear the old man lamenting about the situation.

"Why did this annoying pest have to return right now…it's not as if it was easy to control Horice…"

Horice must be the name of the horse, and even if he was not sure what the meaning of this word was, it sounded powerful. At the same time, it made Kyle believe that he would be able to comprehend more about the essence of the wind.

In fact, staying close to the horse was already enough for both Kyle and Arashi to feel like their understanding of the wind would deepen.

It was as if the horse provided them with an enhancement in their comprehension of the wind's essence, which shocked Kyle as he realized something.

"Horice…Wind…."

When he mumbled these words, his emerald eyes began to glow faintly as he used the wind affinity, while Arashi was doing the same.

Thus, the winds around them were now under their combined control.

Both of them were doing everything individually, yet at the same time, together as their minds were aligned.

It was a weird feeling because they couldn't remember a time at which this had ever happened. But just as they were about to explore this unique connection in-depth, they lost control over the winds around them as a stronger force took over.

Turning their heads, the two of them stared directly into the deep eyes of the winged Emerald horse that seemed to be enraged about something.

At this moment, Yasmine, who had been quiet for a moment, intervened, sensing that the situation was about to escalate.

"I didn't know you could control the wind affinity too…or that you have a…pet that can do the same. I'm sorry but Horice doesn't like someone else controlling the wind around him. It's probably because he was blessed by the God of Wind. I apologize!"
