Megan scoffed, rolling her eyes as she muttered under her breath, thinking that Lisa might as well be playing the Virgin Mary.

"Snap out of it, will you?" she snapped at Lisa. "Everyone lives only for himself out there. Look at Aurelia. Tell me one thing she's done that wasn't completely self-serving." Lisa responded calmly, "She hasn't done anything. It's us who've been clawing and fighting over her scraps. After | married Arnold, she stepped aside, reconciled with Leopold, and blessed us. But then you stole Leopold from her, kicking her out of the Stirling family. She is indeed a pitiful woman." If Aurelia hadn't divorced Leopold, giving Arnold a glimpse of hope, Arnold wouldn't have been so adamant about forcing a divorce on Lisa.

Megan shot Lisa a disdainful look, incredulous. She'd come seeking an alliance, and here was Lisa, sounding brainwashed by Aurelia, even defending her.

"Get this straight," Megan hissed. "Arnold will never come back to you as long as Aurelia's in the picture. You might as well brace yourself for divorce papers." Lisa's smile was faint. "I've already signed the divorce agreement with Arnold. All that's left is to finalize it. I'm willing to let go, to let him be with Aurelia if that's what he wants." Megan's world spun. "And what about your kid? Can you bear to see your child grow up fatherless?" "Nova won't be without a father," Lisa said softly. "The whole reason | moved to Elysium was to co-parent with Arnold. And don't forget Aurelia also has kids. Her children also need a father." A dark glint flickered in Megan's eyes. "You think Aurelia is all meek and mild, but she's got grand ambitions, and she's cunning. She bore sons to both Leopold and Arnold. In time, the fortune of the Stirling family will belong to her sons, and she'll ascend to power without lifting a finger." Lisa scoffed. "Her sons are the rightful heirs of the Stirling family. Should the throne be handed over to your child instead?" That was what Megan wanted. As Leopold's wife, her son should be his heir, not the offspring of a woman like Aurelia.

"And would you be okay if Arnold chose Aurelia's child as his heir and handed over his wealth?" Megan challenged.

Lisa replied coolly, "There's a natural order to these things. | was his first wife, the legitimate one in the eyes of the Stirling family, and my child was the rightful heir. However..." she paused, "even if Arnold decides to leave his fortune to Aurelia's child, | wouldn't object. It's his money, and he can distribute it as he sees fit. What right do I have to interfere?" Megan was left sputtering, unable to form a response. After a moment, she couldn't help but yell back, "Gosh, are you crazy? Do you know what you are talking about? Are you some saintess or what?" Lisa had anticipated Megan's motives of trying to sow discord and set her against Aurelia while she reaped the benefits. She wasn't so stupid as to have fallen for it.

"I'm going to rest," Lisa announced, standing. "If nothing else, please show yourself out." Megan rose from the couch, a fire burning inside her.

"If you do nothing, you'll regret it," she warned before storming out.

She'd find a way to get Lisa on her side.

After work, Aurelia headed to Skyler's villa. With William having gone to Arnold's studio, Skyler was a bit lonely and had resorted to chatting with his pet, Orchid Rose.

Aurelia brought him a chocolate cake as a treat.

After washing up, he sat at the table and ate his cake.

"Aurelia," he said, his face alight with excitement, "William said he could take me to Arnold's studio tomorrow to watch them shoot a commercial." Aurelia smiled at his enthusiasm. "Well, if I'm free, | might drop by and check it out, too."
