That night, Dorothy slept for just three hours.

When she woke up the next day, Everett was already gone.

On the dining table, he had left her breakfast. It was still hot, and there was a note next to it.

Dorothy quickly deleted the messages and put away her phone, thinking about how the performance of

By then, Mr. Percy will most likely hand the next project over to her.
