After the kiss, he gasped and glanced at her with a pale complexion. “Are you really not going to be with me

again?”

All of a sudden, his voice snapped her back to reality.

She stared at the man in front of her. He was no longer the man who once declared that once he committed to

dating someone, he would never end the relationship. Nor was he the person who would shower her with

unconditional love and willingly join her in being a fan of someone or watching a cliche TV series.

This man had already made his choice when she needed company the most and was in a lot of pain.

There was a gloomy look in his eyes. “Who do you want to be with? Jerick?”

She replied, “Does it matter if it’s him? He’s a good person. Being with him makes me feel relaxed. Callum, you can

marry Madeline, but why can’t I be with Jerick?”

“But you don’t love him. If you truly loved him, then when I just kissed you, you would have bitten me to show your

After Callum left the condominium, Lillian stared at the few people in front of her. They were supposed to protect

her, but she couldn’t even step out of the house.

“Ms. Quinn, Mr. White has assured you there is no need to worry. Your parents will be joining you here shortly.” The

group leader commented. “What? Are my parents coming here as well?” Lillian’s eyes widened in surprise. She

thought, “Did Callum invite her entire family to stay here to protect them from all the trouble?”

Callum returned to the car wearily and ordered the driver to drive off, “Let’s go.”

“Noted. The driver answered and drove away from the residential area. Callum closed his eyes and knew better

than anyone that he was not qualified to stay with her now.

But he couldn’t help but think that maybe there was a chance to change everything. Maybe Lillian could forgive him

and give him more time!
