Chapter 930

“That’s wonderful!” Lillian answered.

Lillian returned to her desk and dealt with the work at hand.

In the afternoon, everyone in the institute knew about Lillian’s pregnancy..

Many colleagues were curious about who the father of her baby was.

“Lillian, is the baby in your stomach Callum’s?” some colleagues guessed.

Suddenly, another group of colleagues rushed forward. “Wow, does that mean Lillian is going to marry into a rich

family?”

“Then Lillian will be a rich lady from now on!”

“Wow, that sounds so nice!”

Before Lillian could say anything, a wet blanket said, “Well, some people just want to rely on their child to elevate

their status. If marrying into a wealthy family was such an easy task, there would have been a queue of people at

their doorsteps already.”

“I know, right? I heard that Callum left Strico a few days ago. If he really plans to marry Lillian, why not take her

away as well?”

“Lillian, don’t make a fool of yourself. Children are the last thing a rich family needs. As long as there’s money,

there are plenty of women who want to give birth to children for them, but there are few who can really marry into

rich families.”

“That’s right. The rich families look at your family background! Do you really think you can marry Callum after he

broke up with the eldest daughter of the Tall family?”

Lillian glanced at the colleagues around her and ignored their sarcastic comments. Since she was going to have a

child unmarried, it would be inevitable for her to be the center of gossip and ridicule.

She had already been mentally prepared, so at that moment, she just continued to hand over her work and packed

up before going to the HR Department to handle the paperwork for her long leave.

After walking out of the institute, Lillian took a deep breath and looked down at her flat belly. “You have to be strong

and stay in my belly for ten months!”

She reached out to stop a taxi and headed for the community hospital to get her progesterone shot.

Along the way, Lillian looked at the streetscape outside, but Callum appeared in her mind again.

Lillian wondered, “Did Callum leave Strico? He’s really done what I wanted and has nothing to do with. me

anymore. I guess we’re strangers from now on.” She smiled bitterly. “Let’s not think about him anymore. Since I

said that I would never regret it in front of him, there’s no point in thinking about him

now.”

The taxi stopped at the gate of the community health center. Lillian got out and walked in, but she didn’t notice that

there was a car parked not far away outside. The person in the car was looking at her coldly. “Ms. Tall, I’ve checked

it. Lillian comes to this community health center every day for a progesterone shot. The injection is prescribed by

Women’s Health Hospital. The shot needs to be given continuously. for a long period,” the man sitting in the front

row of the car said to Madeline.

“What about Callum? He went back to Jacaster. How is he doing now?” Madeline asked.

“Everything is normal with Mr. White back in Jacaster. But recently, Mr. White participated in two banquets held by

the socialites from Jacaster. It seemed to be Mr. White’s mother’s idea,” the man replied.

The so-called banquets held by the socialites were just some matchmaking banquets of the upper-class society.

Madeline thought, “If it were the old Callum, he wouldn’t have attended such a banquet at all.”

Madeline wondered if Callum had let go of Lillian since he had attended the banquets.

Although Callum had bought the properties of the Tall family at a good price as agreed after the curse in his body

had been removed, this money couldn’t make up for Madeline’s dissatisfaction.

She had lost all her glory because Callum wanted to avenge Lillian.

The fact that she would be reduced to this current state was because of Lillian.

Before, Lillian was protected by Callum, and Madeline didn’t dare to make a move. However, now that Callum had

left Lillian, she would make her pay.

Madeline smiled and remembered that morning when she had exchanged eye contact with Lillian, whose car was

parked outside the mansion.

She thought, “Looks like Lillian has really misunderstood. Callum, what’s the point of loving and suffering for Lillian

so much? In the end, you’re still no match for a misunderstanding.”

Connor and Kaylie finally decided to have the operation in Strico. Rosalie helped contact the hospital where she had

the surgery last time. Levi had cooperated with those experts, so it was natural that this cooperation went

smoother.

Moreover, Kaylie’s operation was much simpler than Rosalie’s. She was out of the operating room in about three

hours.

When Kaylie woke up from anesthesia and looked at Guillermo, Jennifer, and Rosalie in the ward, disappointment

flashed in her eyes. “Where is Jonathan? Is he…”

Kaylie spoke, but she didn’t finish her sentence.

“Jon has work to deal with, so he didn’t come. I will bring him to see you later,” Rosalie said.

“It’s fine. He doesn’t have to come on purpose. I only asked because I didn’t see him. He must be busy since he has

to manage such a huge company,” Kaylie said hurriedly.

After that, Kaylie said a few more words to the two little ones. Seeing that she looked tired, Rosalie said, “Mrs.

Smuckler, have a good rest first. I will come to see you tomorrow. If you need anything, just call

me.”

“Okay,” Kaylie replied. Just as Rosalie was about to turn around, she suddenly added, “Rosalie, thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” Rosalie smiled and left with the two children.

Kaylie looked at Rosalie’s back in a daze. When she said thank you just now, she was not referring to this surgery of

hers, but rather, she was referring to the fact that she had stayed with Jonathan and allowed him to have a real

home with three lovely children.

She, as a mother, had left her son with nothing but hurt, but fortunately, the pain of her son was being healed by

Rosalie.

Connor sighed and said to his wife, “Don’t think too much. If you really want to see Jonathan, then I’ll speak to

Rosalie and ask her to try to bring Jonathan to the hospital.”

“Don’t…” Kaylie hurriedly said. “I don’t deserve to have him visit me. I’m afraid that I will accidentally reveal myself

in front of him.”
