Chapter 996

The young girl’s expression visibly changed. Rosalie continued, “If that happens, young lady, you would become

someone who has been to prison as well. Moreover, Aiden’s mother was wrongly accused, but if you go to prison,

there will be no false accusations against you. You were genuinely involved in threats and intimidation.”

Being a nine-year-old, even though she was headstrong, she got frightened at this point. She stomped her feet and

left, fuming.

Rosalie turned to look at Aiden, rubbing his head. “If I hadn’t seen it earlier, were you really planning to agree to

that girl’s demands?”

Aiden remained silent, but his face turned red, confirming Rosalie’s assumption.

Rosalie said, “No matter when, don’t forget, you still have me. I know you want to protect your mom, but you’re still

young. If you run into trouble, tell me, and let me figure out a way. We’ll protect your mom together, okay?”

Aiden’s eyes welled up with a hint of tears. After a while, he nodded.

Rosalie checked the time and realized it was about time for her meeting with the school principal. She said, “Okay,

you should go back to your classroom for now. I have some matters to attend to today. I’m meeting your school

principal.”

Aiden took a few steps, then stopped and turned to Rosalie. “Rosalie, please don’t tell my mom about what

happened today.”

Rosalie responded, “Okay, got it.”

Afterward, Rosalie headed to the principal’s office. The principal warmly received her, and Rosalie knew that it was

because of her connection to the Youngblood family.

“What, you want your five-year-old son to start first grade?” the principal said, surprised.

“Yes, I hope he can enter as an advanced student directly into the first grade because he has a non-blood-related

sister in the first grade here, and he wants to study in the same class with her,” Rosalie explained.

“But he’s a bit younger, and his progress in learning…”

“We can have him take an entrance exam before enrollment. If he doesn’t pass, the school can naturally refuse his

admission, and I won’t have any objections,” Rosalie proposed.

Hearing this, the principal eventually agreed and set a date for the entrance exam.

After leaving the principal’s office, Rosalie visited the Burton residence, but Wayne wasn’t at home. Jeanette’s

attitude toward Rosalie had become exceedingly warm. She even offered Rosalie coffee.

Rosalie knew well what people like Jeanette were thinking. They wanted more significant benefits.

Zaid, on the other hand, stared at Rosalie intently as she entered the Burton residence, obviously waiting for her to

tell him about his enrollment.

Rosalie said, “I’ve already discussed it with the principal. You can enroll, but you’ll have to pass an entrance exam to

see if you can keep up with the first-grade curriculum. If the test scores are not satisfactory, you won’t be

admitted.”

Zaid responded with a simple “okay,” as if the test was the easiest thing for him.

Rosalie didn’t know Zaid’s actual level of knowledge, as he hadn’t attended kindergarten like most children. He had

been taught by Kurt before he turned three.

The specifics of what he had learned were unclear, as Zaid wasn’t one to communicate with others.

On the side, Jeanette was shocked to hear that her former stepson would be starting first grade. “Uh, Zeki is going

to start first grade? That means he’ll be in the same class as Karina, right? Why not just transfer Karina to that

same international school? It’s a top-notch school in Strico, after all.”

Jeanette started to chatter, expressing her desire for Karina and Zaid to attend the same international school so

her son could also join them.

“In that case, we might as well move to a new home near the international school, making it more convenient for

the children to go to and from school. We can better take care of them. What do you think, Mrs. Youngblood?”

Jeanette continued.

Rosalie smiled knowingly at Jeanette. She immediately understood what the latter had in mind. The international

school in Strico was a prestigious institution, so the rich and powerful would send their children to that school.

Tuition for a year cost tens of thousands of dollars, and the nearby houses were ridiculously expensive. Clearly,

Jeanette wanted the Youngblood family to bear the expenses.

“That could be an option. Here’s the deal. I’ll handle Zeki and Karina’s tuition fees. However, it’s up to you to figure

out if you can manage the costs of purchasing or renting a house in the vicinity of the international school,

considering the high property prices there,” Rosalie informed her.

Jeanette’s hopeful expression quickly soured.

Rosalie kept her head down and turned to Zaid. “I’ve kept my promise to you. Now, what about your promise to

me?”

“Will you ensure that I can video call Karrie every day?” Zaid asked seriously.
