The servant covered her forehead, trembling as she delivered the message. “Mr. Delbert has returned

with Miss Harriet, and he demanded your presence.”

“Mr. Delbert is back? Just in time!” Colleen’s face brightened.

She had been worried that she wouldn’t be able to deal with Harriet, but now, an unexpected

opportunity had presented itself.

She believed that once she leveraged her long-standing service and Milton’s trust, Delbert would have

to punish Harriet and make it right for her.

Harriet was just a fool unfavored by Delbert anyway.

Colleen got carried away with these thoughts and smiled triumphantly.

Colleen got up and hurried to the hall.

Frightened by the glint in its blue eyes, Colleen screamed and fell to the ground. Her comical

appearance elicited laughter from onlookers.
