Chapter 1830

When Veronica got the news, she was out on a date with her boyfriend, Moran.

Upon receiving the call from home, she rushed back immediately, bringing Moran along. After bursting through the

door, she excitedly threw her arms around Ellinor. “Ellinor! Ellinor! My brother’s back, right? Is it true?”

Ellinor was almost knocked off balance by Veronica’s enthusiasm. She steadied herself before responding, “Yes, it’s

true.”

Tears of joy spilled from Veronica’s eyes. “He’s really back! Where is he? Where’s my brother?”

“He’s taking a shower.” Ellinor replied. “Let me go; I can barely breathe. You’ll see him soon.”

Realizing she was gripping Ellinor too tightly, Veronica quickly released Ellinor. “I’m sorry, Ellinor. I’m just… I’m just

so overwhelmed!”

Her excitement was so palpable that she almost fell backwards. Fortunately, Moran was there to catch her.

After steadying Veronica, Moran turned to Ellinor with an embarrassed smile. “Sorry, Ellinor. She doesn’t know her

own strength.”

His tone suggested that he was already considering Veronica as part of his family.

Upon hearing this, Ellinor smiled at them both. There was a hint of matronly warmth in her gaze. She nodded. “It’s

okay, I’m used to it. Moran, why don’t you take her to the living room? I’ll go to the kitchen and prepare dinner.”

“Sure.” Moran agreed politely and led Veronica into the living room.

Ellinor went into the kitchen and ordered some additional dishes for dinner. All of them were dishes that Veronica’s

brother, Theo, used to love. She then asked the

housekeeper to prepare two cups of hot chocolate for Moran and Veronica in the living room.

When Ellinor entered the living room, only Moran was sitting there. Veronica was nowhere to be seen.

Ellinor naturally took a seat on the couch next to Moran, asking, “Where’s Veronica?”

Moran chuckled helplessly. “She couldn’t wait. She rushed upstairs to find her brother.”

Ellinor nodded, understanding Veronica’s impatience.

Moran accepted the hot chocolate from the housekeeper and turned to Ellinor. “Ellinor, congratulations on reuniting

with Theo.”

Ellinor smiled. “Thank you. Once Theo settles his affairs, you and Veronica can start planning your wedding.”

Moran blushed slightly and scratched his head in embarrassment. “I’ll need your help in convincing Theo. I’m afraid

he might not approve of me.”

Ellinor took a sip of her hot chocolate and smiled. “Don’t worry. I’ll handle Theo.”

At that moment, Theo emerged from his room, freshly showered and dressed. He stood at the top of the stairs,

observing Moran and Ellinor’s conversation from above. A tinge of jealousy flashed across his eyes as he noticed

Moran’s blushing face.

After descending the stairs, Theo went straight to Ellinor and sat down next to her. He wrapped an arm around her,

basically ignoring Moran and speaking only to Ellinor. “Have you been waiting long?”

Ellinor was taken aback by his sudden action.

What was he doing? This was making their guest feel uncomfortable.

Forcing a smile, Ellinor began introducing Moran. “This is Moran. He’s also…

Before she could explain that Moran was Veronica’s boyfriend, Theo scooped her up and placed her on his lap,

pulling her into his arms.

Theo then turned to Moran. “Moran, nice to meet you.” He said in a cold voice.

His territorial vibe was unmissable.

Moran, feeling the tension, responded with a nervous smile. “Nice to meet you, Theo.”

After a brief acknowledgement, Theo turned his attention back to Ellinor. “I’m all cleaned up. Shall we go to our

room?”

Theo’s possessiveness left Ellinor speechless.
