Chapter 1767

Byran was silenced by his girlfriend’s sharp gaze; he couldn’t follow her. He sat cross-legged on the sofa, feeling a

bit miffed.

Belinda teased him again. “Ah, got rejected again? Ms. Gipson never intended to marry you, and yet you were

already planning to take her shopping for a wedding dress. She doesn’t even want to deal with you.”

Byran frowned and angrily glared at Belinda. “Don’t think I can’t do anything to you just because you’re standing

next to my sister.”

Belinda, however, was not afraid. She put her hands on her hips as she said, “I’m right next to Ellinor. What can you

do?”

“You…” Byran was so angry that he gritted his teeth. He was already frustrated because he couldn’t read Ida’s

mind, and now Belinda was provoking him.

Humph, he couldn’t do anything to her. She was a woman, so he couldn’t possibly get physical with her.

He decided to ignore her, turning to Ellinor, who was concentrating on her meal.

“Sis, you haven’t answered me yet. I called you so many times this morning, so why didn’t you pick up? Is work at

Blanchet Corporation that hectic that you don’t even have time to answer a call?”

Before Ellinor could answer, Belinda chimed in. “Isn’t it obvious? Ellinor didn’t want to answer your call! She called

me this morning, though.”

Byran’s face darkened with anger. “I wasn’t talking to you. Can you mind your own business? You’re about to get

married, yet you’re still so annoying. Be careful; Mr. Larios might discover your annoying behavior and call off the

wedding!”

Belinda glanced at Chase. “He doesn’t have a chance to back out now. Don’t worry about it!”

Byran didn’t want to argue any further. He ignored Belinda and blinked his eyes pitifully at Ellinor. “Sis, did you

intentionally ignore my calls?”

Ellinor turned to look at Byran. His pitiful look made her heart soften.

So, she avoided the question. “What did you call me for? I didn’t see any missed calls.”

Upon hearing Ellinor’s explanation, Byran immediately perked up and pointed his chin at Belinda in triumph. “Did

you hear that? My sister didn’t see the missed calls, so she didn’t intentionally ignore me! What do you know?!”

Belinda was about to speak, but Byran cut her off. “Shut up! I’m talking to my sister. Stop interrupting!”

Belinda frowned. She was about to fire back when Chase offered her a piece of sushi. “Try this? It’s really good.”

Belinda paused and looked at Chase, understanding that he was hinting at her to stop talking.

She was a bit annoyed, but she ate the sushi Chase offered and ignored Byran.

Having the upper hand over Belinda made Byran feel better. He then explained to Ellinor, “Oh, it’s nothing. It’s just

that my dad insisted I call you this morning to see if you could visit him at the hospital.”

Ellinor wasn’t surprised.

She knew it was about this, which was why she didn’t want to answer.

She had no affection or positive feelings for Byran’s father. She didn’t want to visit him, and she didn’t feel the need

to.

Byran pursed his lips after noticing Ellinor’s silence. “Sis, I know you don’t want to go, but my dad keeps nagging me

about it. He’s driving me crazy! And, Sis, my dad’s usually a man of few words, but he’s become almost chatty after

seeing you. Every day he asks me about you.”
