Chapter 2077

Oh, totally forgot that the guy was on a mission to deliver lunch to Giselle.

Well, that’s none of her business then!

Seeing Ivy’s indifferent attitude, Balfour’s brow furrowed in irritation. He had gone out of his way to check up on

this girl, and she was still giving him the cold shoulder?

“What’s this all about? A leading lady like yourself, squatting here so gracelessly. Really, don’t you find that a bit

unsightly?”

Ivy was baffled, “Before you showed up, nobody had a problem with me squatting here. Aren’t you here to see

someone? Get on with it, then!”

This woman, knowing full well he was there for her, still acted so chilly. Did she think she was some kind of big shot

now?

A smirk played on Balfour’s lips, laced with sarcasm. “Ms. Dunhill, you’re not getting ahead of yourself just because

you’ve had a taste of the spotlight, are you? Seems to me you’ve got a long way to go.”

His flippant tone was like nails on a chalkboard to Ivy.

It was as if all her hard work until now had been for nothing.

She really wanted to give him a piece of her mind. But remembering their contractual ties, she swallowed the harsh

words bubbling up inside her.

Once she earned enough to pay off the debt she owed him, they’d have nothing more to do with each other!

“It’s none of your concern.”

With that, Ivy turned on her heel and walked away, leaving Balfour seething in her wake.

He scoffed internally, “What an ungrateful woman!”

As Balfour watched Ivy’s retreating figure, his face was set in stone, silent.

“Go and call Balfour over here for me, tell him I have something important to discuss!” Giselle commanded as soon

as she caught wind of Balfour’s arrival at the studio.

Watching the fallout between Balfour and Ivy, Giselle’s heart bloomed with joy.

No time to scold her assistant now. She needed them to run errands for her.

“Hurry up, before Balfour heads back to the office!”

Giselle sat in her trailer, touching up her makeup in the mirror, the reflection showing a woman with a captivating

smile. “Hmph, I always said there would be no happy ending for you two. Because in the end, Balfour is destined to

be mine. Oh Ivy, you may have won the audience, but this man’s heart? I’ll make sure it’s clenched in my fist!”

Balfour faced Giselle’s assistant with an indifferent expression, “Can’t she come out here to talk? Does it have to be

in her trailer?”

The assistant was visibly intimidated, hardly daring to meet Balfour’s gaze.

His towering height of nearly six-foot-three alone was enough to instill a sense of dread, let alone the domineering

aura that came with his family’s reputation.

“Mr. Howard, I don’t know what Giselle wants to discuss with you. I’m just the messenger.”

His trembling, even just from passing a message, was a telltale sign of the treatment he usually endured from

Giselle.

Balfour had no desire to make things harder for the staff. Despite his stern demeanor, he eventually made his way

towards her trailer.

Ivy, having just wrapped up a discussion about the script with Colton, caught sight of Balfour striding into Giselle’s

trailer with his long legs taking three steps at a time.

She quickly ducked her head, biting, her lip in agitation.

Even though she harbored a sliver of hope that maybe everything was a sham, a ploy by Giselle.

But now faced with the reality, Ivy realized she wasn’t as generous as she imagined.

She had to admit, it bothered her-yet she didn’t even have the right to be bothered.

Colton exchanged a knowing glance with the producer. It was clear as day to them now.
