Axel tightly pressed his lips together, tears filling his eyes upon hearing Caroline’s words.

“It’s okay, Mommy. I made it through,” Axel reassured her, wiping away Caroline’s tears with his hand.

Caroline wept as Axel recalled the pain of his bone marrow extraction and treatment.

Axel embraced Caroline tightly and whispered, ‘No need to apologize, Mommy. I don’t want you to be

While Axel continued to cry, Liora and Tyler bickered with each other.

Upon learning of Axel’s release from protective isolation, Alex and Paige rushed to the hospital.

Paige cried tears of joy when she saw Axel in bed. “You’re amazing, Axel! You beat the illness!”

Axel wasn’t used to Paige’s enthusiasm, but he greeted her with a smile. “Hello, Godmother.”

Paige pulled Alex over and handed Axel some gifts, “I brought you lots of delicious food and toys. You

must work hard to regain your strength!”

Caroline teased, “Are you treating Alex like a delivery service?”

“I’m more than happy to do it! Palge is my boss, and I’ll do whatever she says!” Alex replied excitedly,

“Baby?” Evan looked at Paige, puzzled. ‘Are you pregnant?”

Evan said casually, “I’ll grant you paid leave after Mardi Gras.”
